Four Tiers Contracting is hiring a skilled and motivated Lead Handyman / Journeyman who's ready to grow into a key leadership role within our company. Four Tiers Contracting is a residential general contracting company based in Greater Seattle. Founded by two former foster youth, our mission goes beyond construction-we use the trades to teach self-reliance, confidence, and career-building skills to young adults aging out of foster care. We specialize in handyman services and remodels, and we've built a trusted, referral-based business rooted in craftsmanship, mentorship, and impact.

What You'll Do

  • Lead small residential projects from start to finish
  • Mentor junior team members, including those new to the trades
  • Perform drywall, painting, light carpentry, minor plumbing, and fixture installs
  • Respond to client requests and urgent repairs as needed
  • Coordinate with clients, teammates, and vendors to keep projects running smoothly
  • Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites
  • Support a respectful, high-performing team environment

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction or handyman work
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership, journeyman, or supervisory role
  • Strong drywall skills (patching, finishing, painting) and general troubleshooting ability
  • Owns and maintains reliable tools (e.g., drill, multitool, saw)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Eligible for bonding (background check after conditional offer)
  • Based within commuting distance of Greater Seattle (within 1 hour preferred)
  • Comfort mentoring others and building a strong crew culture
  • Ready to grow into higher responsibility and company leadership

Pay & Perks

  • $40-$60/hour depending on experience and skill
